I'm not CYNICAL, I'm a REALIST

Someone once said that the only thing in life one can be sure of is death and taxes. One thing I am sure of is that if you want to be good at any thing in life for example your career, sport or hobby, you need experience, practise and dedication.

Gary Player once said that the more he practises the luckier he gets. Donald Trump has been in the real estate bussiness all his life. Sol Kerzner worked in his father's hotel kitchen before he became a hotel magnate. Charlie Sheen came from a family of actors before he learned his trade. Catch my drift.

I mean really! Would I, being a pimp, interview a nun to become a hooker? I don't think so. Motor technicians work on the "bench"  as apprentices for 3 to 4 years, write exams and then qualify to call themselves motor technicians. Harry Openheimer grew up under ground in a mine shaft.

So why do we in South Africa appoint a guy like Jackie Selebi who by all accounts have never marched on a parade ground to instill some discipline, to head up our law enforcement department. If the efing mampara was taught some dicipline, integrity, patriotism, self respect and how to wash behind his ears, he would not now be facing 20 years in jail.

What about some oke by the name of Maroga who was the CEO of Eskom. The dude had trouble finding his office every morning. Who the hell appointed him. He was not qualified to run an organization like Eskom. The only claim to fame he boasted was the fact that he was born black.

Then we have the CEO of Armscor, Suspended. The CEO of SAA, fired. The entire board of directors of the SABC, fired. The 2 IC of Trasnet, suspended. The head of Metro police in JHB metro, suspended, fired, reemployed. McBride, fired. Lawrence Chuene and the entire board of Athletic SA, fired. What's left. Oh, Thabo Mbeki, fired.

Shit man, if I was a balck man I would catch an inferiority complex and go for counceling.

Moral of the story is:

DO NOT PROMOTE PEOPLE BEYOND THEIR CAPABILLITIES. END OF STORY!!!!!!!!
