Just a Little Nutz

Exhaustion is creeping in. More like exhaustion is pretty much hitting me over the head with a baseball bat, but I am aiming for some sort of optimism, delusional though it may be. *wry grin*

I'm cracking some fairly long shifts this week, which means that the drive to work at 5.40am is a bleary eyed one and I am grateful there's not much traffic on the road. I have resorted to singing in the car to try and wake myself up - much to the amusement of the hobo at the robot this morning. At least he got a laugh out of it.

I'm living in each moment as it comes. This morning, I reminded myself to look for the good. And in a great big swathe of cloud, lit from behind by the sunrise, I found it. In several shimmering rays of light that flooded through that cloud, I found it. In the flock of swallows that darted across the road and swooped and curved around my car, I found it.

In the fact that I have exactly what I need when I need it, I am finding it again and again and again. A mug of tea, an email from a friend, a busy work day ahead. And You. You're in everything.
